Job description :

 Through knowledge of the Social Media Analytics solution data processes, structures and storage.

Install and configure the necessary software, both SMA, SAS and 3rd party, in order to generate data as requested.

Generate and maintain scripts for process control.

Providing expertise in technical areas related to data creation, validation and maintenance.

Follow standards (design, usability, data, coding, -internationalization, etc.) and work collaboratively to ensure consistency across components/systems.

Anticipate reuse of data, code, assets and models in the design process.

Test components and overall system function to ensure proper integration.

Demonstrate components, designs and demos to design team.  Take feedback and translate into code changes.

Understand existing data models, build new data models applying data modeling standards and Industry best practices

Design, construct and test ETL processes

Preparation of solution architecture/design document

Assist with internal documentation.

Effectively manage time to deadlines, openly communicate progress, and contribute to team success.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and balance tight deadlines, ability to work in a fast paced environment (individual projects will last no longer than six weeks.)

Performing other duties as assigned.

Thorough knowledge of data creation best practices, programming principles, analytic design

Effective communication, both oral and written.

Self-driven and self-starter.

Superior problem-solving skills as an individual and team.

Ability to keep current on state-of-the-art techniques, standards, and procedures for 

software development.

Understanding of the agile method of software development.

Ability to work independently and with a team.

  

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; with 0-4 years of programming experience in an applications development or consulting environment, 

Knowledge / experience in complex business environments using the following skills: SAS programming, SAS/EDI, SQL, DDL, Access, SAS/EG

Knowledge /Experience in BASE SAS, Macro, SQL, ETL Data modeling

Strong knowledge on Batch and shell scripts, job schedulers, ETL tools like SAS DI, Informatica, Ab-initio

Reporting tools like SAS BI, Cognos, BO. Exposure to data modeling tools like Erwin

We are looking for a Senior Client facing Business Intelligence (BI) business 

analyst with at least 8 years experience and the following 

• Experience in the Business Intelligence/Datawarehousing space and 

   technologies in the capacity of a business analyst 

• Ability to quickly understand new business processes and to recognize 

   the relevant business questions associated with a business process 

• Experience in delivering Business Intelligence Solutions for the Pharma 

   Sales and CRM sector. Experience with VEEVA as a source system 

• Ability to lead and influence various constituencies, including clients, 

   other Business Analysts, and Technical Team members

 • Experience in facilitating requirements gathering for complex BI 

   solutions that involve multiple stakeholders and competing priorities 

• Ability to identify risks early in the process and brainstorm with the

   relevant groups. Experience with drafting a solution vision for the 

    proposed business intelligence solution.

• Ability to do detailed data and systems analysis

• Ability to interact with the in-house architects and have conversation 

   around the architectural design elements that influence the Business

   Intelligence Solution 

• Experience with all technical components of BI solutions, including data 

   modeling, ETL, Reporting and Analysis, Data Quality, Testing etc 

• Experience with Informatica, Cognos, Business Objects, and/or DataFlux

• Understanding of database structures including 3NF, dimensional, and 

   multi-dimensional models 

• Ability to write SQL queries

• Good Communication and writing skills

 This is a consultant-level job posting. Serves as a liaison between the 

 business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical  

 solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s)
