Responsibilities
• Prepare test plan and test case document based on the system, integration and requirement documentation.
Set up the test environment
UAT Testing is the main responsibility
Develop and Implement test plans
Coordinating test automation efforts with other test teams, developers and support for iterations, testing and deployment activities.
Attend all requirement discussion meetings
Analyze requirements during the requirement analysis
Track and report upon testing activities including testing results, defects discovered and their status, performance base lines etc.
Assist in performing any applicable maintenance to tools used in testing and resolve issues if any.
Ensure the content and structure of all testing documents/artifacts is documented and maintained.
Document, implement, monitor and ensure that all process and procedures for testing is established as per standard defined by the organization.
Log project related issues in the defect tracking tool identified for the project.
Ensure timely delivery of different milestones.
Constantly improving the work processes for the entire team
Required qualification:
Software Testing experience /knowledge in ETL and BI Testing
A strong knowledge and work experience in SQL
Proven capabilities in testing automation.
Test to Break Attitude and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate with both technical and non technical people.
An organized and structured approach.
An excellent command of written and spoken English language
Desired experience
Strong knowledge on ETL testing and Dataware house cocepts.
Ability to read code
Knowledge of the integrated development environment
Ability to trace variables through a module and track changes to its value and currency
Experience in checking out code from version control
Ability to debug code
Ability to write scripts (in any scripting language or OS)
Conditional statements, loops
File handling
Knowledge of coding best practices such as exception handling, variable initialization, proper loop definition, etc.
Writing tests for and calculating code coverage metrics
Code complexity metrics
Unit testing tool knowledge and experience in its use
Ability to write stubs and drivers independently, to test each module to breakage
