Our clients Health and Wellness division, Systems includes handle Consumer Solutions managers of convenient care clinics located at select clients drugstores nationwide, and  Employer Solutions managers of worksite-based health and wellness services. The company combines best practices in healthcare and the expertise and personal care of our trusted community of providers to deliver access to high-quality, affordable and convenient healthcare to all individuals. We operate on-site employee health centers, pharmacies and fitness centers for many of the country's largest corporations and federal agencies.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Dental Director to work in our clients health & wellness center located in Greer, SC.

Summary:
Responsible for all activities related to the delivery of dental care to Health Center patients assuring the adequacy of the dental care delivery system, monitoring provider productivity, monitoring the dental component of the Performance Improvement system, and providing budgetary oversight.

Essential Functions:
Provides and manages direct patient care, including intra and extra oral examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment while meeting the Centers minimum productivity requirements per year as set by the Center and Dental Director (prorated per FTE)

Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards by prescribing pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed dental conditions; referring patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate; taking calls after hours and on weekends on a rotation basis with other providers; and participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs as needed

Provides excellent internal/external customer service via telephone, fax or face-to-face contact to assist patients with their health care needs

Approves and recommends hiring, training, evaluating, and/or dismissing of dental staff

Monitors standards of performance and quality of patient care through a peer review system

Ensures efficiency in dental practice management

Participates in analysis of patients health problems and recommends preventative solutions

Participates in the development and review of the dental department budget and staffing patterns/needs appropriate for patient care

Develops and participates in all Performance Improvement activities relating to dental practice and ensures the dental component is in compliance with all regulations and standards (OSHA, AAAHC, CDC.)

Monitors revenues and reports on the productivity of the dental department recommending and implementing strategies and changes to enhance the dental program

Monitors providers' production reports weekly

Maintains relationships with local dental groups, the School of Dentistry, dental societies, and consumer groups

Acts upon patient grievances of a dental nature

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state where practicing, with a minimum experience of Five years in the practice of dentistry Skilled in operating and supervising multiple operatory per provider delivery system with maximum utilization of dental auxiliaries Ability to establish effective collaborative relationships with local health professionals, health care institutions, and community-based organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior management experience preferred Strong computer skills (Internet software, spreadsheet, word processing etc.) Training skills a plus Demonstrated problem-solving and work flow management skills Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
