5.         Prior experience of designing products for mass
            manufacturing and high reliability.
6.         Prior experience of leading a design team

Job description :

Work on engineering projects / tasks in providing 3D CAD support (modeling and detailing) in areas of Product Maintenance / New Product Development (NPD)

Developing concepts for new designs, preparation of theoretical calculations / verification reports based on task needs

Work on PDM/PLM systems associated with engineering release processes and systems

Ensure execution of tasks in strict compliance with operating procedures and delivery of defect free output on-time

Ensure effective and timely communication with customers and other stakeholders

Flexible to acquire new competencies as required to execute projects

Support and accommodate new team members in getting inducted into team smoothly

Support team in upgrading all the internal processes on continuous basis



Knowledge:

 - Good Knowledge and capability to work on 3D CAD environment (ProE wf4).

- Good Knowledge and understanding of GD&T.

- Good Knowledge on NPD, Product Sustenance processes and relevant engineering release processes.

- Exposure to PLM\PDM systems.

- Good knowledge of engineering design\calculations.

- Good knowledge in Materials, Heat Treatment, Manufacturing processes Forgings, Castings, Machining, structural weldments, Grinding, Finishing etc.

- Exposure to Hydraulic System design and or Hydraulic component / aggregate design is an advantage.

- Exposure to FMEA, VAVE methodologies is an added advantage.



Educational requirements:

  
B.E. Mechanical \ M.E. \ M.Tech. Mechanical (Design)


Personality requirements

Drive and urge to understand design intent at both component and system levels

Strong desire to develop new designs / technology

Enthusiastic, able to work well under pressure

Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

Self starter and goal oriented

Attention to details and strong sense of responsibility
