The Company
Leadership Stage - Kalaanantarupah Group is working exclusively with a leading International Food and Beverage chain. Due to ongoing success across the region my client is looking to recruit a Finance Director.
The Role
* The Finance Director will oversee all finance, accounting, forecasting,
budgeting, treasury, risk management and corporate functions at the Company.
* As a member of the executive management team, the FD will direct all financial activities and advise the CEO and the Board of Directors in meeting or exceeding the overall financial and strategic objectives of the Company.
* Reporting to and partnering with the CEO, you will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall corporate strategy with the CEO and managers of the business units with emphasis on bottom line performance, working capital and capital investment management, and enhancing shareholder value. Critical outcomes include supporting the executive team with key financial information and operational analytics, driving a culture of accountability in managing the business and adding value to operating business.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information and strategic recommendations to the CEO and the Board of
* Directors executive and audit committees and make actionable recommendations on strategy and operations
* Actively assess organizational performance against the budget and long-term strategic objectives
* Develop financial and tax strategies
* Actively manage capital needs of the Company, ensuring the efficient use of capital expenditures
* Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations
* Monitor cash balances and develop a reliable cash flow projection process that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
* Lead negotiations with vendors, banks, property developers, brokers, external consultants
* Manage banking relationships, arrange debt and equity funding, and develop optimal capital structure for the Company
* Develop investment plans to support the long-term growth of the Company and carry, due diligence, transaction execution and integration of potential M&A candidates
* Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including accounting, business planning, budgeting, cash flow management, collections, management reporting and continuous monitoring of business performance
* Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports with relevant bench marking metrics to the Board and shareholders of the Company
* Ensure the timely reporting of all periodic financial reporting in accordance with the IFRS standards
* Review all formal finance and IT related procedures, processes, and administration, recommending improvements to the systems in place and managing the systems going forward
* Effectively lead the finance / accounting team by hiring and retaining top-grade talent
* Ensure appropriate training and development is offered to finance and accounting staff to raise their understanding of financial management
Understand and mitigate key elements of the Company's risk profile
Monitor all open legal issues involving the Company, and legal issues affecting the industry
* Ensure that the Company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
Candidate Requirements
* 15+ years of finance / accounting experience
* Experience in the industrial, consumer, retail industries is preferred
* Experience in a senior financial management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies
