Based in Newcastle, we are seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Project Manager, Advanced Solutions to join our expanding team.
The Project Manager (Advanced Solutions) will provide leadership to the execution and management of major industrial information system projects in Asia-Pacific. In addition, the Project Manager (Advanced Solutions) will directly project manage major IS projects as required by the business.
Other duties will include:
Establishing and maintain project safety management plans incorporating both of our companies customer safety management systems.
Monitor, control, and report work progress for projects and sign off on ETCs for all major IS projects.
Develop and ensure effective implementation of cost control procedures on project work.
Develop and track budget revenue targets
Evaluate the potential financial and other risks of projects, take timely action for risk mitigation/avoidance and report these risks to the business unit leader.
Develop and continuously improve the delivery of projects for our clients, in order to deliver a consistently high quality.
Perform quality verification tasks (ie document review and approval) as required.
Identifying the need for additional project staff, participating in interviewing and selection of new staff, performance reviews of staff.
Supervise subcontractors and agreements with suppliers, to implement a high level of project delivery to our clients.
To be successful in your application you must have:
A minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience in Industrial Automation, Advanced
Applications or MES as applicable to process industries
University degree in engineering and/or business
At least 3 years demonstrated experience in Project Management of major projects in automation or MES areas.
Be customer orientated and focused on delivering project requirements from a clients perspective;
Planning and cost control management skills;
Sound knowledge of technology or similar, solutions and product functions and capability.
Strong skills in risk identification and management.
Orientation towards goal and milestone driven works;
Strong team building and leadership skills;
Skills in resource planning and managing task implementation;
Strong communication skills both orally and in writing; and Strong analytical skills.
Domestic/overseas travel and stay away from home often required.
