An exciting opportunity for a Systems / Business Analyst has become available to join a leading retail group in Bracknell. You need to have significant E-commerce systems experience within a Retail or Supply Chain environment.

This is your chance to join a leading retailer known for having a fantastic company ethos and working environment.

The e-Commerce Systems - web developments team needs to increase capability, both to develop new applications and to oversee external partners in the design and implementation of systems solutions for their website.

The role will involve working closely with the business to develop their ideas to meet the requirements of their future aspirations for the online channel which includes mobile applications. The role will include producing detailed system requirements for projects as well as proposing pragmatic solutions to ad hoc business requests.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Assist users in developing business cases including definition and realisation of project benefits.

- Collect, understand and document the business requirements for the project.

- Analyse the problem, and understand & document the 'as-is' processes and data.

- Prepare functional specifications and system specifications, including use case models (UML), system type models and use case realisations

- Evaluate risks, issues and options

- Gain business agreement for the proposed solutions

- Design, prepare and execute test scenarios and test scripts for all aspects of systems testing (occasional).

- Oversee user acceptance testing.

To be successful, you need:

- Significant experience in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role

- Experience in high profile e-Commerce projects (websites, mobile phone applications, IPhone, Android, IOS)

- Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes.

- Strong interest in e-Commerce.

- Experience in Retail on online retail / supply chain organisaitons

- Formal UML skills including writing use cases

- Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers (offshore)

- A proven track record in Software Development

- End to end experience of the project lifecycle

- Be proactive and self managing, able to work independently (whilst contributing to the overall goals of the team)

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

- Be able to work to tight deadlines.

Desirable experience and technical/business skills:

- Experience of working in IT in a retail or supply chain environment

- Programming experience, including database and web development

- Experience of Agile or RUP based project methodologies

- Experience of leading work on small projects

- Experience of automated testing tools

- Experience of capacity testing and performance testing

You may be required to attend meetings and work offsite on occasions in our London head office, our branches or at a Supplier's location.

The salary range varies, depending on your experience. £36-54k + excellent benefits

For the higher end of the scale, you will need team leading and line management experience on top of very strong BA skills
