Description

We have a project QAS 7.7 This candidate will provide support  for 

the day to day activities my that will need to be done. This would  

include uploads to QAS, running Models, helping with SAS migrations 

and other  ad-hoc duties required.

We are looking for someone proficient in UNIX and  Shell scripting, 

AutoSys scheduling, and knowledge of Oracle SQL queries.  Familiarity 

with SAS for UNIX is necessary.

The person should have experience with issue tracking, change 

management using  Remedy, and production migration processes. 

The person should be process  oriented and capable of creating 

procedures and guidelines.

Explanation of what this person does in everyday terms

This person will assist with migrating jobs into production and ensuring  

production jobs execute successfully, Person will be responsible for finding  

solutions or methods to completely automate production jobs. Since 

most of  the jobs or processes use SAS, the person needs to be  familiar 

with SAS on a UNIX platform.process and is done  by using a 3rd party 

tool called Data Insight.

Job requirements

Minimum of 6 years related professional experience

Minimum of 5 years related SAP ABAP/ALE Development experience (Webdynpro and workflow knowledge a huge plus)

Sound knowledge of programming principles to write efficient programs

Development experience using Object Oriented programming skills

Familiarity with Linux / UNIX and FTP is preferred

Participated in 2 or more SAP system implementations and/or upgrades

Ability to perform all facets of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective

Ability to support a multi-site, multi-country customer base

Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others

Position description

Demonstrates strong ABAP/4 development skills using BAPI's, Function modules, 
RFCs, ALE, IDocs, SAP standard programs, LSMW, BDCs and Call transactions

Demonstrates proficient knowledge of data dictionary, menu painter, screen painter, ALV reporting, and other development related transactions

Demonstrates proficient knowledge of FI GL, AP, AR, Parallel ledger & CO structures and tables

Performs detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provides appropriate system solution

Identifies, interprets, validates and documents customer requirements

Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, maintains and supports the SAP applications

Partners with peers when integrating functionalities across applications and/or modules

Develops profiles and authorizations within the application

Assists with system monitoring and tuning

Troubleshoots programming errors

Proactively identifies and proposes business process and/or system enhancements

Works self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members
