Job Description
Manages large projects with minimum direction from Engineering Leadership and PMO
Responsible for developing the project plan, project schedule, resource plan and Project budget with the project team
Responsible for tracking recurring and non-recurring costs
Coordinating project activities with all outside agencies such as SCM, suppliers,quality etc.
Responsible for defining, reviewing and tracking engineering metrics like On-Time Delivery, Quality etc.
Performing critical path analysis and utilizing earned value management
Responsible for ensuring scope change is identified, documented and communicated to the project stakeholders
Deploying of Project Management methodologies and practices. Ensuring adherence to organizational norms of these methods, practices by regular reviews
Conducting Risk Review meetings and keeping the Risk Register updated with robust mitigation plans (includes implementation of mitigation plans)
Managing prototype development activities
Identifying Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities and leading CI events
Leading project reviews with Management/Internal Business
Units/Value Streams and end customer
Desired Profile
Contributing to performance reviews of project team members when appropriate Professional expertise needed
Possesses skills in requirements management and thorough understanding of change management in a project
Demonstrated ability with baseline change management process
Wide application of standard principles, theories and concepts in Project Management
Demonstrated ability to identify and track risks. Well versed with Risk Management
Possesses strong skills in PM tools, has working knowledge of MS Project professional including resource loading and critical path analysis
Possesses working knowledge and experience with earned value management
Familiar with design techniques, procedures and standards
Possesses strong skills in budgeting processes
Demonstrated ability of mentoring Project Leads and Sr. Project Leads
Excellent communication and Verbal Communication skills.
Experience in communicating with virtual teams located in Multiple location
Qualifications
Bachelor degree required, engineering/technical background preferred
At least 5-9 years in related project management experience
Hands on experience in PM tools such as MS Project
Good analytical skills
PMP Certified
