Job Purpose

The role of the Director of Pricing is to work with partner organisations to develop and lead the operation of a world-class system for the payment of financial services that helps drive improved quality and efficiency, in the interests of tax payers.

Context

Ö        The new Director of Pricing will be expected to take over the leadership of the team for the 2015 pricing cycle, to review progress to date, and to set out proposals on how to build on a good start and further develop the Pricing function, from good to great.

Ö        The Director of Pricing role requires a broad range of strategic, managerial and technical skills.

Ö        Our company will make sure that significant support is available to the Director of Pricing to transition into the new role in a managed way, with appropriate technical and other advice during the transition year of 2015.

Main Accountabilities

Ö        Work with the officials to design and negotiate long-term payment system reform (including leading overall programme design, and ensuring good results from individual research projects)

Ö        Ensure operational delivery of prices each year, starting with the 2016/17 prices

Ö        Lead the design and development of the pricing team, including effective team decision making processes

Ö        Lead the design and development of pricing infrastructure to promote a step change in the quality and use of data by decision makers, with particular focus on improving the collection, analysis and use of cost and price data

Ö        Engage effectively with stakeholders to improve and build support for the development and operation of the payment system

The Role

The role is for a 'Vice President -Finance' and could be based in a number of locations across the UAE / India (Mumbai). The position will hold P & L responsibility for 6 product lines and indirectly manage a headcount of 250+.

Prepare sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales volume, revenue opportunity, and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas; and adapt procedures or re-allocate resources to improve the overall performance of the Corporate Account team. Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for area of responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

* Manage a P & L responsibility for multiple product lines.

* Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.

* Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

* Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs.

* Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.

* Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales focus and collaboration with the BUs that

They produce and sell branded products for retailing and gifting under exclusive license, and designs and produces brands for large retailers in the India and Internationally. 

Role
* The senior management team has considered the future needs of the business. With the business rapidly increasing in diversity,complexity and size, they have identified the need for a top class business person to focus solely on managing the affairs of the
 group, and on shaping and implementing the vision of the founders of the business;

* The CEO will be expected to act as a central point of commercial wisdom and good judgement in guiding the organisation through week-to-week events and opportunities to ensure they make the right choices and implement them well;

* As well as managing current events, they are looking for someone who can implement a step change and shape them into an organisation with a robust structure capable of operating effectively for the long term and with a large degree of independence from the founders of the business;

* The CEO will need to win the trust of the shareholders and the respect of the rest of the organisation to be able to act with the necessary authority to influence and lead the shareholders;

* Take a leadership role in dealing any with ineffective or ill-defined areas of operation;

* Guide and assist the shareholders in evaluating issues and opportunities;

* Manage and support senior staff to achieve projects and objectives and provide customer facing support where necessary;

* Take ownership of the company’s agenda and ensure successful implementation of strategy and projects.


Duties & Experience

* Draw on the vision of the shareholders on a continual basis and build ideas into the strategy, agenda and policies of the business and build close relationships with shareholders;

* Updating of business plan and communication of plan to shareholders and senior managers;

* Develop an organisational structure capable of meeting the longer term requirements of the business;

* Understand longer term aims of shareholders including succession planning where shareholders wish to become less active in work;

* Reduce reliance on key personnel and implement appropriate reporting lines and management throughout the company;

* Ensure that the company has the appropriately experienced and able people in all functions;

* Provide leadership to the management team and a growing organisation and ensure good communication throughout the company, at board level and below, utilising to the full everyone’s abilities and inputs;

* Lead periodic meetings of the management team to examine progress on the company’s agenda and discuss development of that agenda;

* Development of export markets and category management for customers including expansion of brand portfolio and direct to consumer web trading through internet channels and a number of own branded websites.

The Candidate

* Background in FMCG selling directly to retailers;

* Likely to have been Managing Director, or COO of a sizeable business;

* May have had equivalent position in a large privately owner led business;

* Understands international business & e-commerce;

* Experience of commissioning manufacturing would be useful;

* Strong intellect, good at detail, dynamic and energetic;

* Confident and comfortable to manage at all levels;

* Able to work between the lines;

* Creative thinker, not rigid in his/her thinking & should not impose his/her solution.

Working for a global mass consumer organisation, the Digital Strategy Director will drive the product strategy and roadmap across web, mobile and tablet. The successful candidate will lead a team of Senior Product Managers in improving existing and launching new digital products that will drive consumers to their site, increase retention/loyalty and ultimately increase revenue.

The Digital Strategy Director will be responsible for:

*Defining, owning and driving the product strategy and roadmap - web, mobile and tablet

*Building and leading the team of Senior Product Managers to deliver best in class digital 
products that will acquire and engage consumers

*Identify and develop relationships with digital companies to build strategic partnerships.

*Leveraging the data to determine the best strategies moving forward - identifying KPIs for success and tracking them

*Identifying new growth opportunities in the market

*Keeping abreast of industry trends, ensuring your team's digital products are innovative and cutting edge

*Developing a deep understanding of their consumers

*Building relationships with key stakeholders across the business


The Digital Strategy Director will have:

*15+ years significant experience in digital media, online communications, campaigning, and/or membership

*Strong commercial digital product experience

*Strong leadership skills, ideally having managed and built large product teams

*Excellent analytical skills, comfortable with large amounts of data and used to making data driven decisions

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*A strategy consulting background would be advantageous (Bain, McKinsey, BCG, Booz Allen, Arthur D. Little, Accenture, PWC, etc.)

*Strong project management experience to ensure digital projects are delivered to time and cost

*Experience of appointing and tightly performance managing external agencies, as well as major cross functional projects and teams

*Understanding of the systems and processes around supporter data and communications management
