Basic Function
The Director and Head of Marketing develops and leads the marketing team and marketing strategies to support new business development efforts for our Leadership Stage India Client ( Global Networking equipment Manufacturing Leader ) on India and SAARC.
Responsibilities
- Works with CEO to determine the company's goals for new business and develops new creative marketing strategies.
- Develops and recommends new creative strategies to increase leads for revenue growth.
- Keen understanding of the market to drive strategic product positioning and promotion.
- Manages, drives, and grows the clients marketing team.
- Manages the relevant branding strategies and tactics including public relations, creative input, the internal and external website, corporate related marketing events, key messaging, marketing collateral, award submittals, campaigns and technical conferences.
- Directs and monitors all communication strategies including public relations initiatives.
- Assists in development of online social media marketing efforts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
- Works with management to innovate and implement global sales programs and strategies.
- Performs research and recommends strategic target markets.
- Provides support in the development of new client relationships within target markets to increase sales.
- Provides support to the CEO by researching and updating competitor benchmarks.
- Maintains participation with relevant industry associations and conferences to promote our leadership stage client’s name recognition and increase market share on a local and global scale.
- Provides management and motivational leadership to the marketing department and ensures that the department executes corporate objectives in a creative and cost-effective manner.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated success implementing global marketing and sales programs and strategies by vertical in our leadership stage clients’s India and SAARC market.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, public oral presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills. A proven track record of success in management of marketing personnel.
- Experience with global technical companies undergoing rapid change and growth with a focus on new technologies, products, and innovations.
- Work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, outside customers and vendors, and the general public.
- Candidate must have the proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including writing/developing processes and procedures, and making presentations to groups.
- Relevant technical product experience for Ethernet switching or routing products.
- Travel both domestic and international up to 30%.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor / Master Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field or the equivalent in training and experience.
- 15 years of marketing experience with at least 10 years of direct management responsibility and/or related experience within a high tech company.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet.
