Exp:- 4 to 6Yrs
Essential Skills
• Provide database administration for a complex computing environment. Follow
established dbms software installation & support processes and procedures.
• Comfortable operating in a Windows environment
• Familiar working with SQL Server 2005 and 2008 editions
• Familiar with basic administration including, but not limited to, binary
installation, database parameter configuration, backup / recovery, user/access
management, space management, upgrades, and ddl implementation and
performing those duties within established guidelines and procedures
• Monitors and diagnoses database problems. Follows established procedures
to resolve problems which includes opening problem tickets with Microsoft
• Responsible for documenting all changes to the environment
• Should be willing to work in shift 16/7.
• Candidate must have strong communication and English language skills - both
written and verbal
• Regular interaction with system administrators, outage management,
surveillance, security/compliance, and other Information Services
departments.
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with ITIL processes
• MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) certification is preferred
