The Director of Retail  must have experience in the luxury fashion retail industry. The Director of Retail  should ideally have experience working abroad and/or with International Brands. 

The Director of Retail  will assist and work with the senior team, in achieving operational excellence and implementing the agreed strategy to increase profitability and create a desirable, go to destination for current and potential guests. 


Key Responsibilities

* Develop effective relationships with Marketing, Leasing, Operations and Finance teams, 
   liaising with all parties to achieve agreed objectives

* Communicate in a timely and efficient manner, coordinating across the different 
   disciplines

* Assist in the innovation, development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive sales

* Through productive relationships with existing brands and their head offices increase the 
   companies status and prominence

* Maintain future focus for desirable brands, ensuring optimum tenant mix within the 
  company at all times

* Enhance external relationships and promote the company within community

* Focus on improvement whilst overseeing and coordinating the daily operations within the 
   Retail team

* Add expertise and knowledge to the shop fit planning process to ensure sales are at peak 
   performance

* Provide positive, effective challenge and input to operational activities of Retail and 
   Marketing teams, reviewing and defining clear stretching goals

* Assist HR in developing relevant training courses

* Achieve growth in revenue streams

* Work effectively with store managers to achieve optimum store turnover increasing 
   standards in their in-store presentations and customer service

* Identify future business needs to enhance brand performance

* Provide accurate weekly updates to Retail Director as required

* Demonstrate track record of achieving growth in retail sales within fast paced environment

Position Description
- The individual must be both hands-on and able to direct financial control activities of the 
   organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. 

-  Position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with 18+ years of 
    progressively responsible management experience; strong system management abilities; 
    excellent analytical, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; customer-
    service focus and ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the 
   organization; and, experience with Solomon-Business accounting and financial systems. 

- Individual should have adequate breadth of experience, financial acumen and 
  communication skills to handle Board-level presentations. 

- Experience with elected Boards and  funds in a corporate and trust environment a plus.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Position is responsible for organization-wide reporting and the establishment of strong 
    systems, policies and procedures for a group of large trust funds managed through one 
    administrative entity.

 * Formulation and administration of accounting, budgeting, payroll, and risk management 
    policies

 * Manage all relevant aspects of accounting, including, financial reports, payables and 
    receivables

* Maintain an enterprise-wide financial system (Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint)

* Ensure accurate, timely and consistent accounting and financial reporting across the 
   organization

* Oversee the preparation of the annual budget, financial statements, investment reporting 
   and tax returns

* Oversee investment accounting for $6.5 billion in pension assets

* Manage electronic disbursement and custody banking relationships, credit card 
   applications and automated payments

* Oversee monthly revenue collections from 40+ employers

* Oversee contract administration for signatory employers and vendors

* Develop and maintain a system of internal controls which assure legal/fiscal compliance 
   with laws, rules, and generally accepted accounting practices

* Prepare monthly financial statement analysis, identify major variance to budgets and 
    important trends and opportunities

* Prepare the monthly and annual financial statement presentations to the Boards of 
   Trustees and senior management on both a cash and accrual basis.

* Manage, hire, train and develop accounting staff in a union-represented environment

* Coordinate annual and employer compliance audits and ensure internal compliance

* Ability to be hands-on as well as direct activities of others

* Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as in a team setting

* Ability to work with Fund Counsel, Consultants and Actuaries on a regular basis.

* Overall responsibility for the Accounting department, including the following functions: 
   Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Investment Accounting, Credit & Collections, 
  General Accounting and Payroll. Responsible for financial statement preparation, budgets 
  and forecasts, cash management, investment reporting, account reconciliations, insurance 
  programs, banking relationships and audits by external regulatory and other authorities. 
  


Education and Experience

- Bachelor's/Master/Doctorate degree in accounting or finance 

- 18+ years related experience, including supervision; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A CPA and/or MBA is highly desirable. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential

* Responsible for developing and implementing current strategies to bill customers, process payments, minimize bad debt, improve cash flow and manage the overall health of the company's receivables

* Coordinates and monitors dashboard reporting for billing and collections

* Identify process improvement opportunities and develops action plans around key initiatives

* Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly vendor invoices

* Assist with month end close, P/L account analysis and reconciliation, financial reporting, and managing quarterly bank audits

* Responsible for revenue loss management and loss prevention by performing detailed audits that enable revenue recovery and cost saving opportunities

* Responsible for weekly reporting of usage data, creating and monitoring departmental KPI's, trend and root cause analysis, monitoring and updating dashboards and communicating results to executive management

* Support front office teams with financial support for new product launches, service plans, and promotions

* Analyze and documented process flows for usage collection, mediation, rating, and billing and made recommendations for improvements



Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

* Must be proficient in Excel, MS Project, and Vision
* Experience with creating and maintaining templates
* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to express ideas clearly and logically and communicate with all levels of management
* Requires good interpersonal skills including ability to work independently resolve conflicts and handle complaints
* Requires ability to negotiate/sell

Leading retail organization is seeking an Inventory Accounting Manager to join their team.


Job description

The main responsibilities of this position include:

* Support accurate financial statements by ensuring inventory and sales are accurately reflected throughout all systems including stock ledger, sales journal, and Oracle financials, ensuring reconciliation of  between systems, and providing support for quarterly audits. Support and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and controls

* Provides support and direction to the Senior Analyst as needed on projects relating to Inventory Systems functions, including data maintenance, system upgrades, new implementations, and data analysis

* Provide necessary support to ensure that all store banking activities are completed in a timely manner and in conjunction with the Treasury Department objectives

* Support efforts to pinpoint areas of potential fraud for regional loss prevention managers

* Effective management/ development of Associates



Who we are looking for

The candidate must have:

* Significant Accounting degree
* Some years management experience in an accounting-related field
* Effective in leading and motivating associates to excellence
* Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
