Rare opportunity for a Managing Director has a strong logistics / 3PL background to join a global conglomerate in Dubai, UAE
We are working with a large UAE based industrial conglomerate that through their diverse portfolio of subsidiaries has identified an opportunity to create a new stand-alone third\ party logistics business. The existing logistics activities of the group are currently operated independently and predominantly in-house; the new business will be based on combining these with a commercial logistics offering. A talented Managing Director is required to steer the development of the new 3PL business including the resourcing of high caliber executives and professionals; the control of costs and profit and loss; the selection and implementation of appropriate systems; the governance of the business and the development of the on-going strategy and the business cases to support it. You will need to be able to operate without a large supporting infrastructure and when necessary must be prepared to be hands-on.
