Job Description

Must Have Skills:

Should be familiar with: ASE 15 New features, System table overview, Installation of SYBASE ASE,IQ, Replication server. Backup and recovery Dump/load database, different methods of dumping transactions. Disaster recovery process. Scheduling maintenance jobs like reorg, update stats ,sysmon, create index, dbcc commands, MDA, Provide day-to-day database administration and on call support for PROD./UAT/DEV environment. Good understanding of Unix and shell scripting Should be good team player and have excellent communication skills Should be able to take ownership in terms handling critical databases in Primary DBA role Take initiative for customer requirements timely executes deliverables , Escalation/Status updates and ensure periodic feedback on issues.
