Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the direct oversight for the strategies and operational execution of all functions of the business.
- Establishing systems and processes, achieving excellence in manufacturing operations, managing all commercial/sales/contractual matters, and managing relations with key customers are important key results areas.
- Provide leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
- Leverage core competencies and historical success, the CEO will be able to drive simple, repeatable, scalable processes and systems that are critical to executing growth objectives.
- Develop a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
- Capable of successfully articulating that plan to the Investment team and to the organization using Key Performance Indicators that reflect, predict and maximize financial/business performance.
- Oversee company operations to insure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
- Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company.
- Approve company operational procedures, policies, and standards.
- Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
- Promote the company through written articles and personal appearances at conferences and other media outlets
- Represent the company at legislative sessions, committee meetings, and at formal functions.
- Direct company planning and policy-making committees.
- Oversee foreign operations to include evaluating operating and financial performance.
Experience - Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Seasoned leader who has worked as a CEO in a manufacturing company in the automotive industry with full P&L responsibility.
- Strong entrepreneurial mind set, strong operations background, great commercial savvy and a successful track record as a senior leader with a minimum of 15+ years of progressive business experience
- Experience in steering a company through rapid manufacturing focused growth will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong General Management skills with knowledge of automotive manufacturing strategies, pricing, business development, and strong customer relationships.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures
- Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
- Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Knowledge of public relations principles and practices
- Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting and 10+ years of experience in a leadership role for a large division or company.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
