Role Purpose
- Provides the necessary selection, contracting, supervision, leadership and program management of capital design and construction projects representing 50% of the capital construction budget implemented each capital cycle.
- Assists in the creation and development of strategic facility plans and the design and implementation of construction projects for system hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages and evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Develops, executes and manages strategic facility planning, construction and design development processes for capital programs for assigned hospital campuses.
- Assists in directing the design and construction teams in the preparation of presentations to planning and zoning authorities and various internal clients as needed.
- Prepares and participates in design reviews of capital program projects to ensure that the design intent and functional deliverables are in alignment with the strategic business plan.
- Directs and leads post-occupancy evaluations of completed capital projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor/Master Degree in - Architecture/Civil / Engineering / Business /Any related
- Experience - 15+ years
- Supervisor Experience - 15+ years
- Licenses & Certifications 1. Professional Engineer 2. Construction Manager (CCM) 3. PMI
- Information System Skills Microsoft Project - 5 years or more
