Our Client is looking for a proven executive to lead the company’s expansion efforts in the India and other markets and operations in Asia and be an integral part of its business development strategy and execution. Ideally the candidate will have experience in a venture-backed company from the Fashion, Ecommerce and/or Direct Sales industry. Salary and Equity package included.
Responsibilities:
- Manage existing executive team and Asia operations team
- Work closely with the Founder/Board and other key members of senior management to develop and deliver strategic plans and goals, and identify risks, mitigating factors and potential opportunities for the future
- Work with Management Team to execute our client’s business plan, overall strategy and vision of a company
- Build a strong culture of accountability and teamwork among employees
- Create synergistic growth strategies across direct sales, showroom and online channels.
- Ensure operational excellence by spearheading the development, communication and implementation of best in class strategies and processes in the areas of forecasting and planning, production, sourcing and logistics
- In conjunction with the Founder, COO, CFO and other key members of the senior management team develop the company’s Annual Operating Plan/Budget including details of projected results, strategies to achieve them, timelines, risks and resources
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and resources designed to accommodate rapid profitable growth and create maximum long-term enterprise value
- Establish and measure key operational performance indicators for the organization and adjust operational tactics to achieve agreed upon performance goals
- Define monthly reporting requirements for all Operations functions and provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company
- Develop quality control systems and processes to deliver optimal performance in all operational areas including production, sourcing and logistics
- Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and all aspects of our brand’s target market
- Implement recent Branding guidelines
- Oversee all aspects of Human Resources in the India and asia
- Help coordinate expansion in India and Asia.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 15+ years experience in a leadership role at an apparel, fashion, direct sales or e-commerce company. Particular focus on fashion brands
- Experience running a P&L
- Experience leading or managing a direct sales organization
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- International experience a plus
- Strong IT understanding
- People management skills a must
- Dynamic and proactive leader
- Proven track record in recruiting employees and growing a business
- Experience in a start-up environment
- Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands
- Work collaboratively with team members at all levels
- Communicate clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations
- Flexible work hours in a high stress start-up company
- Willing to travel when necessary
