Job Description
To ensure effectiveness and efficiency in meeting the technical troubleshooting requirements and performance tuning within Service Level commitments made to the customer. The main role is to provide single point of contact as a support analyst for customers IT Services and work within contracted Service Level Agreements. The subject matter expert is expected to be technically competent in managing platform areas of Backup and storage troubleshooting. To work on incidents, change and problems and efficiently handle Knowledge Management and Availability Management. During the course of fixing incidents -- to communicate with client via phone/email to collect information to make the resolution quicker. To bring in process/ technical improvements within the scope of work.
Exceptional skills of coordination between different teams leading to resolution along with Client Relation Management are essential.
Desired Profile
Should have ample knowledge of Vendor Management.
Good understanding of Incident, Problem and Change Management (ITIL)
Good remote troubleshooting skills
Excellent Customer handling skills. Good email etiquettes.
Excellent listening skills & ability to communicate clearly and fluently in English
Flexibility to work in shifts for 24x7 support
Ability to work under considerable pressure managing multiple tasks and priorities. Motivated self-starter personality; must be able to work independently.
Prior experience of working with global customers and providing remote support.
Prior experienced of 4 years working in similar role.
Skills Required
Technical
Strong knowledge in any one of the backup application Commvault, Networker, Backup exec, Netbackup and Source one.
Exposure to DRM implementation and management.
Proficient in Policy mgmt, Media Mgmt, Device/Tape Library mgmt (including OS level command).
Should independently plan and implement Backup binding/rebinding concept.
Familiar with Image backup
Should be able to write OS level scripts
Should have Enterprise Management Concept.
Strong knowledge on NDMP backup.
SAN concepts required as Snapmirror, Snapshot, snapvault.
Functional
Should have worked on incident management with knowledge of call coordination both in business and off business hours.
High end client troubleshooting skills with the help of SMEs.
