If marks is what is going to determine your worth (students) then, students please find something else that determines you - your interest, aptitude, motivators, intelligence, personality and ethics. You have to have some kind of measurement, but it is not this mark oriented system that treats students like automated machines. You cannot do away with marks for now but you can go beyond it.
