The Company is an industry leader in the markets it serves. 

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is an integral part of the Company’s senior management team. Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO serves as a true business partner and financial counsel to the CEO involving strategic planning, policy development and implementation, compliance and reporting in support of corporate objectives.

• Provides insight into the business and sound financial analysis for senior management.

• Identifies new profit opportunities within the existing business

• Supports expansion efforts into new markets

• Ensures the financial integrity of the organization with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.

The CFO holds full accountability for the integrity and accuracy of Company’s financial statements. The CFO accurately reports financial and other information that forecasts the company’s business activity and financial position as required to meet business reporting and financial regulation needs internally and externally. The CFO provides support to the parent corporation to ensure corporate financial policies, procedures and controls are in use and fully effective at the Company. The CFO also effectively manages and develops the Controller and clerical accounting functions.


Responsibilities include:

Financial Analysis:

• Provide strong analysis and communication to senior management on financial matters.

• Benchmark financial performance against plan and advise and implement effective strategies to effect change/resolve issues as necessary.

• Provide financial evaluations for acquisition analysis and due diligence as necessary.  Prepare material for, and communicate effectively with, executive management in customer and candidate merger/acquisition organizations.

• Provide routine forecasting to identify and monitor key business drivers and variances - advising and implementing appropriate action when necessary



Compliance and Reporting:

• Develop and maintain accurate and effective financial statements.

• Ensure adequate financial controls and all Sarbanes Oxley related processes are established and maintained. Maintain proper controls over assets including working capital, fixed assets, capital expenditure budgets/justifications/approvals/audits.

• Coordinate and oversee internal and external audit procedures.

• Provide efficient, effective basic accounting systems, including general ledger, cost accounting, credit and collection, and accounts payable, payroll.

• Work with CEO, relevant operating mangers, and corporate financial, IT and/or general management to develop information, propose courses of action and implement reporting and control systems to help resolve operating problems.



Strategic Planning:

• Support annual Strategy Deployment Process (SDP) and general business planning by recommending objectives that will result in financial growth and stability.

• Lead budget and forecasting process at both corporate and departmental levels. Support Sales & Operations Planning with accurate financial forecasting.

• Advise on trends and regulations in the financial and general manufacturing industries to ensure effectiveness and compliance.

• Participate with CEO in developing overall plans for the direction of the businesses by being a key leader in the meetings.



Information Technology

• Ensure Company adherence to corporate IT policies and procedures, supporting the efforts of the corporate IT team.

• Lead Company’s effort to achieve "best use" integration of computer systems into operating functions/departments with the help of local IT resources.

• Direct the IT resources to support the development and implementation of efficient and effective mechanized processing systems for administrative functions and support




Policy Development and Implementation:

• Drive the corporation’s Business System and related tools throughout the Company’s Finance and IT functions.

• Develop and recommend cost containment strategies to improve profitability.

• Insure compliance with financial policies, procedures, control requirements and reporting systems.

• Maintain or implement improved internal reporting and information systems to provide best support to division management in making decisions about the business, including budgets, financial reporting, forecasting, and special analysis.


Management:

• Effectively manage and support Finance and IT resources in a matrix organization structure.

• Develop Finance and IT teams to meet changing Company and corporate needs, ensuring timely performance reviews and retention and advancement of key staff.



Professional Experience / Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have a proven track record of partnering with the CEO to drive profit and growth.  Strong business leader with financial pedigree who can seamlessly step-in when necessary for CEO.

• 15+ years of progressive experience, a combination of public accounting and private business experience, and demonstrating the required competency level in the areas of responsibility for this position.

• On the ground experience in a global company with $15+ Billion in sales and responsibility for international finance and accounting required. Requires approximately 25% travel to international locations.

• Process manufacturing experience required; strong preference for experience with products having high material cost and precious and base metals content; powdered metals, specialty chemicals and/or specialty metals/materials manufacturing experience considered.

• Merger and acquisition experience required. Experience in lean accounting preferred.
