Job Description
The Structural Design Engineer assists to develop, integrate and 
 document structural and interior payload system requirements to 
 establish the system design. Develops, maintains and modifies basic 
structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 
3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to 
provide product definition to other engineering groups, production
operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product 
lifecycle. Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components 
meet requirements and specifications. Assists with supplier development, 
test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize
the design and achieve program goals. Supports investigation of 
emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs 
to meet projected requirements. Works under general supervision.

Job Description
Position Purpose

•          To provide technical support for the repair and overhaul of nacelle
            components using manuals and specifications.

•          Resolve technical problems in the workshop.


Essential / Principal Responsibilities

•          Prepare Standard Inspection & Repair Record (IRR) Forms for 
            assigned programs.

•          Prepare standard Sub-Job Attachment s for the programs.

          Disposition discrepancies identified in IRR and prepare 
            Bill of Materials.

•          Prepare engineering quotations and damage reports.

•          Solve work-in-progress problems using cost-effective measures.

•          Prepare the Engineering Support Request (ESR) for out of 
            manual repair work and contact with GASCA repair group for 
            repair scheme.

•          Coordinate with Operations Department, Tooling Engineers 
            and Materials Department to ensure the product is delivered on 
            the committed date.

•          Advise Technicians in solving technical problems in the workshop.

•          Support Sales in Local/Overseas assignments.

•          Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.


Qualification

Bachelor or master degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering

Skill / practical experience in design and structural analysis of aerospace 
components would be beneficial

Leadership and multi-task skills with good time-management

Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory and aerospace quality 
requirements

An added advantage

AUTOCAD

Knowledge and experience of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing


Other Essential Attributes

Time Management skills

A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
