Java Developer Note from my major it client as to what he specifically wants: For technical skills, I would prioritize the core requirements as: · Core Java · Automated testing (JUnit, Fitnesse) · Java + Database + SQL + JDBC · Internet Java (Servlets, JSP, webservices) For non-technical experience, we would like to see high levels of tecollaboration and experience supporting systems with customers.

We’re looking for Java developers who are: • highly motivated • self-directed • extremely talented • experienced/ have knowledge of JSP’s & Servlets (including Request/Response Lifecycle), SQL/Relational databases, and transact-processing systems.

Additional skills desired in this role are: • UI development skills using JSP, Struts, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS -- Bonus points for Ajax • Object Oriented Design skills • O/R Mapping experience using Spring and Hibernate • Test Driven Development experience • Build automation experience using Ant or Maven • Proficient using version control systems like Subversion • Experience with Resin (preferred) or Apache or Tomcat • Experience with DB2 (preferred) or Oracle or MySQL • Keen interest learning and adapting emerging tools and technologies in the industry • Unit test framework experience
