Summary
The Finance Coordinator, in addition to providing clerical support to the Finance Department staff (20% of job responsibility), will assume responsibility for various financial and budgetary tasks and processes within the Finance Department (80% of job responsibility).


Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide clerical support to all Finance Department personnel, which include (but not limited to) photocopying, faxing, phone coverage, coordinating meetings, arranging for conference rooms, submitting expense reports and inventory control of supplies. 
2. Prepare quarterly Jet Analysis. 
3. Assist with Product Liability and other insurance renewals. 
4. Assist with monthly/quarterly cost center expense reviews and variance tracking. 
5. Assume responsibility for formatting (with macros) and distributing periodic DME Reports to Marketing. 
6. Assist Marketing Finance with populating and validating periodic Sample Reports. 
7. Become a savvy BPC system user in terms of accessing various reports and preparing them for distribution or sharing with various groups (e.g. Tax). 
8. Maintain FLI cost center list. 
9. Maintain Product list for reporting. 
10. Assist Finance team with budget book preparation. 
11. Learn new job assignments as appropriate. 
12. Be able to grow within job responsibilities and function with minimal supervision. 
13. Help team putting together financial presentations in PowerPoint internal collaborators, as well as with third party vendors. 


Requirements
Education: 
Associate or Bachelor degree required, preferably in a business discipline, or comparable, relevant industry experience. 


Experience: 
Relevant professional experience, with increasing levels of responsibility. Accounting, Reporting and or/Informational experience is desirable. 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook, with knowledge of PowerPoint required. Shows and understands team work and flexibility. Possesses both the ability and the motivation to learn new skills and grow within the position. Presents follow up and coordination skills. Attention to details, stress resilient. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Financial Analyst provides support to the VP, Worldwide Controller. Principal Accountabilities
Provide financial analysis to support VP, Worldwide Controller including analysis of weekly and monthly financial reports from international business units, and manage communication of global financial results to the management (20%)


Support companies Global’s strategic plans, operating plans and forecast updates (building worldwide assumptions, maintaining financial models, preparing and consolidating worldwide financial submissions, and developing presentations to Sr. Leadership (20%)


Aid in the preparation and review of global capital projects (new store openings, store remodels, plant equipment requests, IS projects, etc.) and provide insightful financial analyses in a timely manner for new channel or product line extensions, new marketing initiatives and similar projects. (10%)
Work with cross-functional global teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement (planning/reporting and operational) across the business. (10%)


Provide support to the VP, Worldwide Controller in maintaining appropriate information databases on actual financial performance to aid in corporate reporting to our parent company. Participate in preparation of financial information for internal and external reporting purposes. (20%)
Support VP, WW Controller and finance staff in preparation of major presentations by Godiva management. (20%)


Job Complexity
A significant portion of this job is special project analysis work. Accordingly, individual must feel comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity (upgrade financial reporting project, new product analysis, capital investment, etc.).
Ability to create analysis models to combine results across markets/currencies and then to analyze results for a portfolio of business across channels and currencies.


Ability to create analysis models to value strategic options for new channel development, new market entry, capital investment spend and marketing spend options.
Individual must be able to contribute as a member of a highly cross-cultural team.
