At present, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Client at our Abbots-ford office. This role will see the successful candidate leading Project Management of a wide range of Automation projects. These will include Process Control Systems, Advanced Process Control and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), across the vertical markets of Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Mining, Pulp and Paper.
Key areas of responsibility include
•Work with the engineering team to manage the implementation of control and automation systems, including successful on site completion.
•Maintain overall responsibility for the delivery of projects to the required quality, schedule and budget.
•Detailed planning and scheduling for all projects, including resource allocation, management of risk and financial forecasting.
•Manage customer relationships and develop customer sponsorship for our client
•Deploy standard methodologies in the delivery and control of projects. Actively contribute to continuous improvement in business processes and practices.
•Manage effective communications with all project stakeholders.
•In conjunction with the account manager, identify and pursue any further business opportunities with the customer.
•Develop and deploy project Safety Plans in line with Health Safety and Environment (HSE) responsibilities
•Adhere to the highest standards of business ethics and corporate governance in line with the code of conduct.
Experience, skills and knowledge required to be successful in this
role include:
•Degree in engineering and 5+ years relevant experience.
•Post graduate qualifications in related discipline are desirable.
•Project Management Institute professional (PMP) accreditation also well regarded.
•Proven track record in professional project management and delivery of large scale, technology based projects to the process industries
•Leadership experience in a professional engineering environment
•Understanding of business, technology and external environment
•Strong domain knowledge in one or more of the vertical markets: Mining, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pulp and Paper.
•Working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
•Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated business sense
•Ability to orchestrate solutions to customers’ business needs.
•Strong Planning and risk management skills
•Capacity to negotiate successful outcomes for all project stakeholders
•Strong customer service ethic. Ability to develop and maintain strategic customer relationships
•Proven ability to develop and lead a team
•Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
