Our Client is the leading global supplier of secure radio communications and embedded high-grade encryption solutions for military, government and commercial organizations and a leading supplier of assured communications systems and equipment for public safety, utility and transportation markets, with products ranging from the most advanced IP voice and data networks to portable and mobile single- and multiband radios.


Job Description:
Successful individual will report into the Business Unit Program Finance function, the position will be located with a small remote team in San Francisco, CA supporting the deployment of a critical communication network for the San Francisco Municipal Transit Authority.  This position will require partnering alongside the Program Manager and Contracts team in order to be successful.  This is a large ($86M initial award expected to grow in excess of $100M), important project scheduled to be deployed over the next +3 years.   


Work in conjunction with the Program Manager, coordinating with other members of the dedicated program team as the lead finance professional.  
Individual contributor role, responsible for all financial aspects of this program 
including:


Revenue recognition – Multi-Element
Estimate to complete accounting and reporting
Tracking of contract milestones and billing 
Risk and opportunity analysis
Pricing/margin/ROI analysis
Month end closing processes coordinated with Business Unit Finance team.
Liaison with Customer on the financial aspects of this program. 
Lead/provide financial support with timely and accurate information.


Support monthly estimate to complete reviews with the Program Management team, as well as P&L and cash flow forecasting for this project.


Ensure scope of work and costs required to perform the work are consistent with contract terms.  Drive business partners to manage to bid margins as 
well as seek ways to improve profitability.


Provide financial support of any proposed change orders or modifications to the contract ensuring the financial interests of Harris are met.


Travel as required in to interface with the Business constituents.


Financial leadership in determining key cost drivers, risks and opportunities, ad-hoc scenario analyses and/or business models is expected.


Qualifications:


* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 


* Requires minimum 6+ years experience with Financial Analysis, Cash flow Analysis, and Business Modeling.  


* Computer skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience
   US GAAP accounting experience, including revenue recognition


* Project accounting experience, use of PeopleSoft project, contract and GL a 
   plus Presentation skills, understanding of project accounting (construction / 
   percentage complete accounting SOP 81-1), team player.  Ability to manage 
   projects with little direct supervision.  




Preferred Additional Skills:
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  People Soft Project, Contracts, and General Ledger experience
  Cross-functional partnership


* Able to effectively build a solid trusting relationship with Customer and Program Manager as business partners.


* Familiarity with Earned Value Management and Primavera scheduling.


* Federal Government contracting / FAR experience


* Ability to manage multi-task and shift priorities as required
   Project accounting experience, use of PeopleSoft project, contract and GL a 
   plus
